If you’re LGBT and you have OCD, it is common (and according to my therapist, almost expected) to have periods when you feel you’re faking your sexual orientation and/or gender identity, and to think you have somehow convinced yourself you’re not cis and/or not straight when you actually are. That’s just a symptom of OCD. Your sexuality is not fake, your gender is not fake. You are what you are. You’re ok. You’re enough.
You know what sucks even more than being mentally ill? Being self-aware about it. Like you constantly know that your behavior is a problem and you know exactly what it is and exactly what’s causing it, but nobody believes you because you’re mentally ill.
